Recipe for Herb Wine Marinade. This versatile marinade can be used with most any kind of food. Use white wine for chicken, fish or vegetables; red wine for beef, lamb or even venison.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup red or white wine
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup red or white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh oregano
  • 3-4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and use to marinate meats, fish or vegetables.
  2. Makes about 2 cups
