Recipe for Grilled Herbed Mushroom Packets. These mushrooms, cooked in small foil packets can be made in an oven or over hot coals at a barbecue.


  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoons marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper (optional for those who like a little spice)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Toss mushrooms and lemon juice in a medium bowl to coat. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Divide mixture into quarters and place each portion on a medium sheet of aluminum foil. Fold into packet.  Grill over medium-hot coals for 10-12 minutes or bake in a 400°F oven for 12-15 minutes.
