- 1 teaspoon butter
- 4 cups water, room temperature
- 2 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Grease inside of crock-pot up to water level with one teaspoon butter. Add remaining ingredients to the pot, cover and turn on low heat. Cook overnight or 8-9 hours on low. A few minutes before serving, add other optional ingredients like cinnamon, raisins, nuts, fruit, milk etc. Stir and serve.
